Roseola = Fake Measles??

Fever started on Sep 30 with temperature around 37.5 degree Celsius but it went down after 1st dose of Paracetamol. However, on the 2nd day the temperature was up to 39.8 degree Celsius where Daddy and Mommy rushed me to Mount Alvernia A & E at night on Children's Day!! The fever still continued for another day, ups and downs, though after taking more doses of fever medicines - Paracetamol and Ibuprofen (for fever higher than 38.5, suitable for under 2 years old??) and even Voltaren suppository (painful experience caused by Mommy and Grandma). Yesterday, I was feeling better as the fever had subsided. However, red spots started to appear on my body which became more obvious at night when Daddy pointed out. Not too sure whether I was suffering from HFMD or measles or even dengue fever, Daddy and Mommy started to make SOS calls. Though most of the advices are to observe and monitor, I was brought to Angelin's Baby & Child clinic and confirmed to have Roseola (that goes $65 bucks - really X man ...)

Teething = Fever??

I was ruuning a fever 2 weeks ago ... Yesterday I started to have fever again ... Though I had taken a few times of paracetamol syrup ... the fever still went up as high as 39.5 °C.

My 1st Lunar Birthday ......

Yesterday, Feb 3 (Sunday), was my 1st lunar birthday. It was raining cats and dogs while Mummy & Daddy carried me to view the venue (NSRCC) for my 1st birthday celebration which is this coming Sunday.













It happened there was also a birthday party going on ...... Mummy and Daddy were trying to steal some ideas ......

Mummy found two blisters on each side of my ears yesterday. Today, I have a few more on my head, left arm and shoulder. I think tomorrow I will have even more ...... Therefore, I am now a chicken-pox baby. Daddy will be moving back since I am having chicken pox and it makes no difference for him to stay away. Tomorrow, Daddy and Mummy will bring me to see Dr. Hiew.

Guess what am I doing? Steaming my face? Of course not ... The doctor said I had mild bronchiolitis ... It helped to open up my airway so that I can breathe properly ...

Nasal Aspirator ... as Mommy gets the name from the packaging ...

Mommy bought it last Saturday afternoon @ Takashimaya Baby's Fair. She heard a lot of horrible experiences that some uncles & aunties mentioned that they resorted to use straw to suck out the mucus from their baby's nose as to help them to relief the nasal congestion.

Though it costs only $2.90, it is indeed useful ... Mommy & Daddy used it on me last night since I was uncomfortable with the blocked nose. Today, Mommy uses it again ... Hope my condition will be better soon together with the nose drop that the doctor prescribed ...
